Into the Copper Canyon – the Mysterious, Hidden Giant of Mexico!
The Copper Canyon region is a labyrinth of six distinct canyons, larger and deeper than the Grand Canyon in Arizona! For over 500 years the indigenous Tarahumara, or Raramuri as they call themselves, have lived in these canyons in the southwestern part of the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. They are considered “super athletes”, and both men and women routinely run 200 – 250 miles in one session, barefoot, or in their deerskin sandals, up and down the canyons. We will explore this vast area, concentrating as usual on Nature and developing community – a perfect place to do so!
From October 18 through October 25 2018
Tour price : $ 2.150 USD
