Touching Ancient Baja: Cave Paintings and Baby Whales
This is a bespoke adventure not only to the remote UNESCO World Heritage cave paintings in the mountains of Baja California, in Mexico, but also includes two days at an off-the-beaten-path lagoon where the Grey Whales first initiated contact with humans 40 years ago, and continue to do so. We begin in the historic town of Loreto on the Sea of Cortez, the first European settlement in what was then California, in 1697. This will be our home base and a perfect place to slow down to “Baja Time”, explore the protected marine park and gear up for our expedition.
